In a Law School, similar to a seminar or conference, several students come together in one place to deal with a specific topic for a certain period of time. Lectures, panel discussions, lectures, workshops and the like are held on this topic. However, unlike a seminar or conference, ELSA Law Schools have a minimum duration of one week. They are characterised by a detailed academic programme (at least 20 hours) and offer the opportunity for an intensive, longer-term discussion of a legal topic. In addition to the comprehensive academic program, a law school also offers a social program and a cultural supporting program to familiarize the 30 to 50 participants from all over Europe with each other and the host country.
In the summer and winter months, many different ELSA Law Schools take place regularly in the Summer Cycle or Winter Cycle.
